Hi Matteo,

thank you for your question. SmartFormAnalyser does not do any kind of optimisation. What it does is visualise the different kinds of properties of your mesh. You can read in detail all the analysis types here ( 

Tip: if you right click on the component and later click on the "SmartForm Reference" it will take you directly to the documentation.

Hi Mateo,

As Miguel says the SmartFormAnalyser-component is only visualising. If you are referring to the optimisation that happens in the SmartForm-component; it is dynamic relaxation algorithm that uses a particle-spring system.

sorry to bother you, I did a comparison with the method you explicate (dynamic relaxation) but I find it very conflicting solutions, however, are sure that they feed in this way? I hope you have not made any blunder but I double-checked.

I have analyzed a simple structure having to have a displacement of 40mm SmartForm while the iterations I get a result of 0.75mm excel iterating I do not know how to move forward

Hi Mateo, I'm not sure that I am understanding your problem - could you share your files or maybe some images? It might be easier to understand.

Are you trying to compare the displacement you see from the SmartForm-component with a static structural calculation?

the fact is that I am the same results if I put smart 0,96ma length equal to what it means exactly smart length I found no guidance in this regard. What does that mean exactly? because it has a great influence in the calculations.

I was wrong SlackLength  i have put it 0,96 and i have the same result
